Product strategy & execution

Prepare the proof before the proposal.

A practical route from a tender requirement to a module an OEM or system integrator can evaluate.

Recommended first investment: a reusable industrial gateway + device-health platform, demonstrated with one water/energy use case. In parallel, scope a weighbridge adapter if a working controller is already available. These priorities are an engineering judgement from the requirement patterns, not a demand forecast or guarantee of orders.

1Gateway, telemetry and device-health dashboardReuse across meters, pumps and SCADA. Proceed when one OEM supplies its register map and pilot access.
1, conditionalWeighbridge / RFID / ANPR adapterUse an existing working controller if available. Verify the indicator protocol and find a live replacement project.
2Camera health + one video-AI use caseGet representative footage and measurable acceptance criteria before expanding analytics.
2Citation-backed document AIGood software-only route through a government IT integrator. Start with a bounded corpus and two agreed languages.

3Flood nodes, streetlighting and solar RMSProceed after sensor selection, lab requirements and field support are costed.

A staged 90-day preparation plan

Indicative milestones; revise after checking current capability, staffing, components and partner access. A September deadline is too close to use this plan as a promise of a new certified product.

Days 1–10 · Select and qualify

Pick one tender clause, one prime-contractor segment and one demo. Record quantity, interfaces, hosting, certificates, delivery, warranty and O&M. Check turnover, past experience, EMD, OEM authorisation and consortium/subcontracting rules. Decide whether to supply a module through a qualified prime or bid directly.

Days 11–30 · Build the proof

Connect a real device or approved dataset. Demonstrate normal operation, disconnection, restart, stale data and recovery. Freeze API payloads and a repeatable test script. For AI, hold back an evaluation dataset and report errors as well as successes. Produce a 3-minute demo and a two-page scope sheet.

Days 31–60 · Run an agreed pilot

Agree pass/fail criteria with one partner. Record device count, uptime calculation, data completeness, latency and incident handling. For video AI, measure false alarms per camera-hour; for document AI, citation correctness and refusal on missing evidence. Address role access, encrypted transport, signed updates where applicable, backups and dependency licences.

Days 61–90 · Prepare delivery

Freeze the BOM and configuration. Obtain applicable lab quotations and complete required tests before the contractual deadline. Document FAT/SAT, installation, rollback, warranty and support escalation. Quote hardware, installation, cloud, SIM/data, model usage, spares and multi-year support separately. Do not promise a certificate before the lab confirms scope and timing.

The partner-readiness pack

  • Requirement matrix: RFP clause → offered feature → evidence → gap → owner.
  • Architecture, supported protocols, register map and API examples.
  • Demo video, test results and clear performance / scale limits.
  • Configuration-specific BOM, drawings, wiring plan and component availability.
  • Actual certificates, calibration records and origin/local-content evidence where required.
  • Commercial schedule: setup, unit cost, recurring cost, support term and exclusions.
  • FAT/SAT checklist, O&M manual, warranty and escalation contacts.

Reach the companies likely to procure modules

For open tenders, use official pre-bid attendee or published bidder lists when available. Attendance alone does not prove a submitted bid. For post-bid projects, verify the award notice, selected legal entity and project scope. Approach the procurement / alliance team with a narrowly scoped integration proposal and ask for the responsible project owner.

Start with a short introduction, the relevant requirement, a bounded pilot proposal and a request for a 20-minute technical fit discussion. Do not imply that a sector-fit company is a confirmed bidder, or that a historic winner has an active buying requirement. Keep a record of source, contact date, response and next action.

Daily research workflow

Check CPPP, GeM, the relevant state portals, IREPS and buyer procurement pages using combinations of IoT, telemetry, RTU, SCADA, RMS, HMI, AI/ML, video analytics, ANPR, chatbot, OCR, predictive maintenance and sensor. Save the tender ID and original documents, then review corrigenda and award results. This page describes a workflow; no recurring monitoring service has been enabled.

Have a tender clause or integration gap?

Share the RFP, BOQ, site count, interfaces, mandatory certificates and submission date. We can discuss a bounded development or pilot scope and identify the evidence needed for acceptance.
